Meet our Team:

Lead Pastor

Pastor Tom Hollowood has a passion for helping people grow to glorify God. Having been raised in a pastor’s home, he was able to see early on the amazing change in people’s lives as they surrendered themselves to Jesus Christ. Pastor Tom and his wife Amber sensed God calling them to First Baptist Church in Albion and in 2007 answered that call by moving their family to Michigan. The Hollowood’s have three beautiful girls: Averie (Married to Joey Powell), Paiton, and Maggie and love spending time together and ministering to people. Pastor Tom loves communicating the truth of God’s Word has had the opportunity to speak at several conferences, including internationally. He enjoys reading, watching sports - especially Duke basketball, and spending time with friends and family.

Assistant Pastor

Joey Powell oversees FBC Youth and various ministries as an eager and fervent follower of Christ. Joey joined our team June of 2024 with a previous background of two and a half years in ministry. Here at FBC, he strives to influence the next generation through discipleship and mentorship. Joey and his wife, Averie, have a heart for guiding young people to the truth of God’s word while demonstrating what living a Christ-centered life looks like. Joey and Averie both graduated college from Pensacola Christian College: Joey in 2021 and Averie in 2023. With their Bible and teaching backgrounds, they both are willing and able to impact students through a fun and engaging environment.

Worship

Branden Lee serves as our Minister of Worship, helping guide our worship service through Biblically solid songs of praise. Branden is married to Kaylee and they have three awesome kids: Davey, Dax, and Kenzi: together they bring plenty of energy and love to our church. Together their passion is to make much of Christ with their lives and we are thankful to have Branden guide us before the Lord in worship each Sunday morning. Branden works a full-time job away from FBC and enjoys playing sports, watching football -especially U of M football, as well as spending time with his family.

Deacons

Our deacons help provide leadership in various areas of ministry around the church. They also attend to the care of the church membership. They serve in 3-year terms as elected by the church body.
