Worthy of All Praise

Just some overflow of the heart from my study of Hebrews, finding Jesus is Better:

Worthy of All Praise

It’s to Him we give
all for endless days!

Jesus, Priest and King, worthy of all praise
Its to Him we give all for endless days

Promises Prophets, Ceremony and Sacrifices
All led to breakdown because of our vice’s
The foreshadowing lost by the blur sin caused
Would we ever return to what appeared paused?

All along Sovereign God kept dropping reminders
If only we’d see Him and rip off the blinders
Consider Adam’s skin, Noah’s boat; Isaac’s replacement lamb
The mediators, the rescuers, the foreshadows of the Great I Am
Those rich devices should cause us to praise
Its to Him we give all for endless days

Those glimpses of glory He wants to be seen
One of the greatest we find in Genesis 14
Abram the victor enters the valley to finalize the score
There comes the loser – King of Sodom and sin offering more

Abram rejects the Sodom’s temptations to end up rich
Then bowing to Salem’s King, his heart finds perfect pitch
A Resonating in that valley – mystery of God Most High
To the Priest-King called Melchizedek, Abram draws nigh
Presenting his gift to The King of Righteousness and Peace
Mysteriously wondering how His rule will never cease
Who? What? Why? Questions flooded Abram’s mind
Our New Testament insight would have helped him find

There’s a reason the feast was forsaken for bread and wine
The strange mystery Man; even His meal reveals the Divine
The Messiah – The Savior – the one promised to deliver
Just shows up to remind that separations not forever

He’s coming – He’s ruling He’s awaiting the day
He’s blazing the trail and providing the way
Say “No” to the breakdown, temptations, and blur
Read longer, look deeper, every page find His Cure
Say “Yes” to that One who is both Priest and King
He’s The Answer that gives your heart reason to sing

Jesus, Priest and King, worthy of all praise
It’s to Him we give all for endless days
